Agreement to the Terms

These are the conditions of your enrollment with Empower Tutoring. Before using our services, carefully read through them. If you pay for tutoring lessons & take lessons with Empower Tutoring, you indicate that you agree to these terms and to follow all relevant laws.

Parties

Tutor: A person who is employed to provide tutoring services to The Student(s) of Empower Tutoring, with Empower Tutoring acting as their Employer.

Student(s): Any person who has contacted Empower Tutoring and/or requested services.

The Services: All tutoring services that The Tutor performs for The Students of Empower Tutoring.

Disclaimer

Empower Tutoring strives to achieve positive student outcomes, but we cannot ensure or guarantee results as it is influenced by various factors, including individual effort and study habits. Therefore, we cannot be held liable if a specific outcome is not achieved.

Refunds

Empower Tutoring may issue refunds for lessons at our discretion. If a student believes there may be errors, they should notify an admin via email, text, or phone call.

Billing & Payment Policies

For pay-as-you-go payments

Once a student has confirmed that they would like to proceed with regular tutoring lessons after the first free lesson, Empower Tutoring will request that the student adds their payment information to our secured tutoring platform. The student will be auto-charged once their balance hits $0, to always ensure they have enough credit to schedule a future lesson. Students will always be emailed an invoice for every single payment that has been made for verification & record-keeping purposes. If in any instance, you do not agree with a charged amount or have questions about it, you can always inform an admin and we will sort it out. All payments on our tutoring platform go through Stripe, a secure payment processor. The student will always receive an invoice when they’re charged for a tutoring lesson.

For package payments

Once a student has confirmed that they would like to proceed with regular tutoring lessons after the first free lesson, Empower Tutoring will issue an invoice using Stripe for their desired tutoring package. Students will always be emailed an invoice for every single payment that has been made for verification & record-keeping purposes. If in any instance, you do not agree with a charged amount or have questions about it, you can always inform an admin and we will sort it out. If you run out of tutoring lessons, you will not be able to have any future lessons until a new package has been purchased.

General information

To create and send invoices, we utilize a highly secure software called Stripe. You can be assured that we do not store or have access to any of your payment details. Cancellation & Late Policies

Cancellation Policy

The Client/Student may cancel a scheduled class by giving at least a 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor without incurring any fees. Lessons not attended by the student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor shall be charged at the full rate.

Late Policy

If a student is late, the tutor will wait up to 10 minutes before the student will be considered absent without eligibility for a refund. All efforts will be made by the tutor to reach the client/student to remind them of the upcoming lesson, and tutors will work to reschedule the lesson based on individual circumstances. If the tutor has to cancel a lesson, they must also follow this policy.
